This society was established in Izmir and Istanbul branch was founded on 22nd May 2006 as the 9th of the branches. After the first general Meeting in Istanbul, Dr.Hayal Köksal has become the Vice President and she has started her project which is focusing on the teacher trainees at Educational faculties. The name of the project is; “To Create an Awareness among the teacher trainees about the significance of the Village Institutions’ Philosophy”. Village Institutions are known as the schools of the Ataturk’s Enlightenment Period but lived for a very short time. However, those years were long enough to feed the young villagers’ brains with the contemporary ideas. Within this project, the volunteer students of Dr.Köksal prepared 28 projects based upon the various issues of Village Institutions and presented them at two different conferences of the Society. Students belonged to Bogazici and Yeditepe Universities. The main ambition of Köksal is to publicize this project within other Educational faculties as well.
