I am in receipt of your email of September 1, about the 11th ICSQCC organized by you at the historic city of Istanbul. It was a wonderful convention revealing your creative talents and dynamic personality. A dynamic personality will of course bring in something new to the programme never witnessed before. This is the feeling I gathered at that convention. I marvel at your organizing capacity and clock like precision of the programme, yet so convenient to each and every participant. I would say I was lucky to have got this wonderful opportunity. I would have missed a great convention if I had not attended it. This is the first time I felt that international conventions should be organized the way it was held at Istanbul. Every programme became most satisfying with your touch. I shall never forget the wonderful occasion and it will forever remain a memorable event in my life.

The 11th ICSQCC has proved a landmark in the quality education in the new century, so essential to meet the increasing requirements of educational diversity in the coming times due to new inventions and discoveries taking place in every subject of school/college education. Young people like you will have to shoulder the onerous responsibility of laying the foundation of quality education. After witnessing the 11th ICSQCC 2008 I can say with a sense of confidence that you are the one most capable educational leader to lead the quality education to glorious success. I feel very happy that the ICSQCC starting in a small way at CMS has now reached to international level made magnificent by the 11th ICSQCC. I am sure the concept will now reach to every corner of the world awakening both students and teachers that, like other goods, education should keep on reforming, remodelling and renovating itself to suit to the changes according to the times.

I would also like to thank you for the wonderful hospitality extended  to the participants. The whole CMS staff which participated in the convention has asked me to convey its grateful thanks to you for the hospitality and the facility extended to it during the stay in Turkey.

There is something basic about DOSTI.  It is like a structure that holds up a building It is mostly hidden and absolutely essential. We are blessed by our Dosts.

First of all let me inspire you by saying that you have really established your leadership role in the movement of ICSQCC by hosting the perfect and most successful convention in the history of ICSQCC.

I had no doubt in my mind from day one that you will dissolve all boundaries and the neurosis of perfectionism appeared.

Anjanie and I had a great time in Turkey. We made a lot of friends in the campus. The students made us fell at home. The university was the perfect setting for the occasion. I met so many nice Professors in my Work shop. Please convey my Best regards to Nilufer.

As you know I have traveled around the world. My son came to pick us up at the Airport and he asked us how was Turkey? We said if there is any place we like to go back it will be ISTANBUL. We have fallen in love with Istanbul. It is a magnificent city with magnificent people like you.

Our trip to Cappodocia was wonderful. All the tour guides were very friendly.

I know your birthday was on 2nd and we were at Amsterdam airport and I try to call you several time to wish you Happy Birth day but I could not get any connection with my cell phone. We are wishing you a late Happy Birthday.

I am Teaching this Semester. I had a faculty meeting and that is the reason I came back a day early. The classes have already started. You are so dear to us that you are the first one I am answering the e-mail.

In a few days I will send you some pictures we took when we were at your place for publication by UNESCO. Please also let me know what else you want from me to send you.

We are glad to hear that you went to see you mother. You have a wonderful husband. Servet is always there working behind the curtain to see that everything is evolving and happening as planned. I salute him and thank him.

I am still in trance after attending the 11th ICSQCC-Istanbul organized solely by you and dear Servet. This has opened a new chapter into the quality movement history of Turkey and has become a benchmark for other countries to emulate.

If you resort to SWOT Analysis of the convention we find

Strength-

1. The world witnessed potentials that exists in Turkey addressing issues like VI- Village Institution, facing challenges of global competition and change management.

2. Stalwarts like Jagdish Gandhi, Stuart Mary, David Hutchins, Syed Ali, Vineeta, Dinesh Chapagain and myself witnessed how the talk walks in Turkey.

3. You were offered for CMS affiliation should you choose to open a school in Istanbul.

4. Eminent persons of Turkey like Mr. Celik, Dr.Ayse, Prof Nilufer and Dr. Kocabas saw your managerial capability and also the scope of SQCC activities in Turkey.

5. The copy book staging of all events like show casing, paper presentations,workshops, Cultural activities spearheaded by TB's team. It reminded me conventions hosted in Japan.

6. Participants 'DELIGHT' every where- Bosporus Voyage with fun, food and frolic, Food served in Restra II and later Rostra I, the very stay in wonderful hostel and the sight seeing with a guide who was master in his knowledge, fluent English and his commitment and also facilitating shopping. This blended business and pleasure very harmoniously which is indeed seldom seen.

7. Crisis Management was also par excellence be it hospitalization or medication. Medical aid was given in mind boggling shortest time with efficiency and efficacy.

8. Hosting very productive WCTQEE meeting where many innovative ideas surfaced that needs to be executed by all of us.

9. ICSQCC_Istanbul shall be ever remembered for the condolences accorded to Neelum De Silva by Dr Kamran and to Juran by Syed Ali.

10. The peace and unity message of Mr. Gandhi was the corner stone of the convention.

11. The friendship of two quality ladies in Vineeta and Hayal showed the synergy in terms of quality output that this convention offered on QCD parameters- The Quality , the minimum Cost levied from participants and the over all Delivery ushered to all of us.

12. The enthusiastic involvement of students and teachers and others in making this conference a milestone.

Weakness

1. More time and space for keynote address and questioning was by and large felt.

2. NGO session was very good but it also needed more time for becoming interactive.

Opportunities

1. Turkey can emerge pioneer and leader in Europe in field of what you call IMECE circles, and quality movement and also in VI blended with pursuits for poverty alleviation the world over.

2. People closely knew the visionary philosophy of Ataturk that hold very much relevant even today.

3. That Hayal Koksal is an institution in herself carrying the legacy of Great Ataturk and more is yet to come from this TQM Lady of Turkey.

4. A very cohesive team of Celik, Nilufer, Fasheh, Kocabas, Ali Bakal, Erez among others of Yedetepe University may push forward the quality movement faster through students of the most modern and state of the art university of Yedetepe.

Threats

1.How much and how long will  we use the momentum generated in Istanbul.

I still remember Col Servet quiet, curious, committed, productive, affable and ever smiling who was the 'silent dynamo's emitting lot of light that kept the whole convention and its inmates illuminated.

The bottom line is Dr, Hayal- You dreamt, you dared and you did IT.

Dear Sister Hayal,

Though belated, please accept our congratulations on your birthday (2nd Septemebr 2008).

I together with Mr. Ramesh Bdr. Katuwal and Mr. Nirjan Adhikari left Istanbul yesterday early morning of 3rd Septemeber 2008 and reached Kathmandu safely in late evening. We still have hangover of the memory of Turkey, especially Istanbul, and the Yeditepe University.

The 11th Convention has made a historic benchmark in getting collaboration of educationists, students, teachers and volunteers to come out remarkable outcomes which will be remembered by all of us. The knowledge we got from world renounced experts, professionals from around the world and Turkey will be noted down for ever. The interactions of international students for different streams were remarkable. I hope everyone enjoyed the learning sharing environment you have created at the Yedetepe University.

Our Bosporus (Europe-Asia) evening cruise, one day trip to Istanbul city and two-day trips to Capadocia were another memorable moments to learn about the rich and vast historical facts of Turkey. Your country is great incomparable with any other county of the world.

All these happenings became possible only with your mastermind, leadership and diligent and work. To your team of University high officials, Mr Koksal and other colleagues, always smiling and helping ask-mes, Dancing and singing TB-teams, supporting and efficient Fora tours, and many others, I like to extend sincere thanks and congratulations on behalf of my friends from Nepal. Please convey to all of them.

Sizi tanımayı çok arzu ederim. Çok yoğun bir çalıma programınız olmalı, bu kadar gelişmeleri gerçekleştiren bir  eğitimci olarak. Sizi ve yaptıklarınızı ve yapacaklarınızı takdir ediyorum. Sizi tanıma fırsatı verirseniz sevinirim.

Size sevdiklerinizle birlikte olduğunuz, sağlıklı, uzun ve mutlu yıllar diliyorum :)

Now that I am back in England it is time to write to again congratulate you on a splendid Convention, and to thank you for everything you did for me personally, to encourage and facilitate my participation in it. It was lovely to again meet people I had first met in Lucknow, and to make new acquaintances.  It was a great pleasure to spend the three day tour in Cappodocia with DInesh, Ramesh and Nirajan, as well as Syed and Anjali Ali.

My two Ask-Mes, Taner and Hasan, were so helpful and cheerful. You certainly had a good team of helpers.

I haven't seen any request for feedback/ evaluation - is there any M&E mechanism?

I can send you the official result of the children's rights election held during the workshop, to include.  I can write up a paragraph about the workshop if you like, to replace the agenda. I can also send you my PPT of the UDHR 60th anniversary logo.

I will send all this to you on Wednesday. Please let me know if this is what you want.

I want to particularly say that I was delighted that I met and talked to so many Turkish school children  (and adults) - in the workshop and also outside - the group of children with the Education Volunteers Foundation were enchanting.

Şu yoğunluk arasında birde İstanbula geldik ve onuda aradan çıkardık. Tabi orada olmamızın en büyük nedeni sizsiniz. Sizin çabalarınız sonucu oraya gelebildik. Size çok çok teşekkür ederiz. Ödül töreni ise kaptı kaçtı gibi oldu kusura bakmayın hem sizin programınız dışında olan aksaklık hemde bizi m erken dönmemiz gerekmesinden dolayı böyle bir sorun oldu, içimiz rahat etmedi fakat güzel ve anlamlı iki gün geçirdik.

Böyle bir organizyonu hazırladığınız içinde ayrıca bir teşekkür ederiz. İnşallah ileride daha iyileri olur. Türk katılımcıların eksikliği ileride olmaz ve daha çok Türk katılımcı olur. Canım Hayal ve Servet Dostlarım,

Öncelikle böylesi bir "kocaman organizasyon" için, tüm dünya katılımcıları gibi ben de sizleri kutluyorum. Adınız gibi hayal ettiniz ve gerçekleştirdiniz. Organizasyonda, aşk vardı sevgi vardı, ilgi vardı, bilgi vardı. İnanın sizler adına göğsüm kabardı. İşte Türkiye böyle temsil edilir. İnanın izlenimlerimi yazarken, geçirdiğimiz üç günü ve farklı ülkelerdeki insanların sizler için duygu ve düşüncelerini anımsadığımda içim ürperiyor. Çoook duygulandım.

Böylesi bir meşguliyet içerisinde, bana olan ilginiz, sevginiz için her ikinize de ne diyeceğimi, nasıl teşekkür edeceğimi bilemiyorum.

Ömrümün ilk uluslararası bildirisini, sizin pozitif ortamınızda, derin sevginizle vermeme imkan verdiniz. Bu deneyimimi inanın yıllarca torunlarıma anlatacağım galiba. O heyecanı unutmam mümkün değil.

Sizin daha nice başarılara imza atacağınıza inanmıyor, "iman" ediyorum. Nazarlardan uzak kalın, aşkınız çoook uzun yıllar devam etsin. Can kardeşiniz olarak çok etkilendim. Siz ikiniz, bir orkestrasınız. Başarılar hep sizinle olsun. Kutluyor ve kutluyorum vede kutsanmanızı rica ediyorum.

Merhaba !!!

Dear Mrs. Koksal ,

I am Senel Wanniarachchi, the team leader of the delegation from D.S Senanayake College Colombo , Sri Lanka for ICSCC’ 2008 .I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the Yeditape University and in Turkey . You made us feel very much at home. Everything was so new yet so beautiful and the atmosphere was so pleasant. We appreciate your effort to put everything together. We are aware of the fact that hosting so many students from various countries for such a long period of time requires vast organization and lots of good will.

Hats off to all the volunteers! They were very concerned: Once in every 15/ 20 minutes our “ask-me” Ferit would go –“bir, iki, üç, dört “ to see if all ten of us were there!!!
You were like a mother to all of us, and the volunteers, brothers and sisters. 

The rest of the trip including the last two days in Turkey might as well have been a blur compared to the four days at the University .Euphoria they say is short lived, but I can tell you that the euphoria of those days lasted much longer than we expected.

More than all the awards we won the friendships we made and the excitement we went through will be memories lasting forever. Not overlooking the fact that we left Turkey swifter, higher and stronger than we visited her.
I assume that there are many other people who were connected with this program whose names I don't know, and so I apologize for not mentioning them and I thank them as well.

Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to experience your wonderful country, meet wonderful people and visit wonderful places.
Also, please do not forget to invite our school for any international events organized by your institution or happening in your country.
